Spring is officially here! As the weather starts warming up, you’ll probably be spending more time outside with your pets. This means they are more likely to become exposed to disease-carrying insects and bacteria.Pet vaccine graphic

To protect you and your loved ones, we're offering free boosters with Lepto and Lyme vaccines for the entire month of April 2018!

What is Lepto?

Leptospirosis is a disease caused by infection with Leptospira bacteria, which can cause deadly kidney or liver disease in pets. Dogs become infected most commonly through contact with infected urine or contaminated soil or water, but they can also get it from contaminated food or bedding, through the bite from an infected animal, or by eating infected tissues or carcasses.

Lyme can also cause deadly kidney disease in pets, and is caused by a bacterium called Borrelia burgdorferi. The deer tick carries this bacterium and can facilitate its spread to dogs, humans, and other species.

Both Lepto and Lyme are zoonotic diseases, which means they can be spread from animals to people.
